Children's Education

Children's Education Programs

Join us for Sunday school at the First Presbyterian Church starting with a kick-off breakfast for families on September 11 at 9:15.

Classes for all ages (2-100) begin on September 18.

Grades 1st-4th will do a rotation system which includes lessons, games, art, cooking, drama, and the computer to make Bible stories come alive.

Grades 7th-12th will be using “The Story”, which includes a video to help teens find their place in the story of God.

Youth Education

New Programs for Youth

Kevin and Kelli Allard have taken over the Junior/Senior High Youth Group.

They meet on Sunday evenings from 6:30-7:30 PM

They have had a great response with around 10 young people at each meeting. The Youth will be earning points to play laser tag in Bloomington.

Watch for pictures of our youth on Facebook.

Thank you to Kevin and Kelli  for their willingness to make this commitment.

Adult Bible Studies

That wonderful time has come again, when we stop sleeping in on Sunday mornings and begin studying God’s word. Sunday school will resume on Sunday morning with a breakfast for all. Our first adult class is September 18, at 9:15.

The Wednesday morning prayer group will resume October 12, at 9:30 in the parlor.  We will be reading and discussing the book, “Don’t Sing Songs to a Heavy Heart”.

The book is a guide on how to relate to those who are suffering.  Built on a solid biblical foundation and brimming with God’s grace, “Don’t Sing Songs to a Heavy Heart”, can help each of us be more effective Christian caregivers, church members and friends.

The book will be provided, but you should bring your Bibles and a willingness to expand your thinking, as Pastor Tim leads us through this very important study.

If you have questions about the book or the group, please feel free to call the church office.
